A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD AND COUNCIL WILL DISCUSS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING AGENDA.  THE COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RETIRE INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION CONCERNING ANY OF THE ITEMS LISTED ON THE AGENDA WHENEVER IT IS CONSIDERED NECESSARY AND LEGALLY JUSTIFIED UNDER THE OPEN MEETING ACT, CHAPTER 551, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE.

Public Forum:  Members of the public are invited to speak during Public Forum on items that are not on the City Council Agenda.  Comments regarding agenda items shall be held until the agenda item is being discussed and the presiding officer calls for comments from the public.  Comments during Public Forum are limited to 3 minutes per speaker.

NEW BUSINESS:  The Town Council will discuss and take action on the following:

  1. Discuss and take action to approve an Ordinance of the Town of Clint Texas, to amend Ordinance No. 45 to create a new Liquor District at 12439 B Alameda Ave. Clint, Texas 79836 – Mayor Cano/Attorney Desiree Duarte
  2. Discuss and take action on Election Calendar and Resolution to order General Election on November 5, 2024 for election of a Mayor and two council members for two year terms – Mayor Cano
  3. Discuss and take action to approve Resolution approving Contract for Election Services with El Paso County for the November 5, 2024 General Election, and authorize the Mayor to execute and take such actions as necessary for the conduct of the election – Mayor Cano
  4. Discuss and take action to approve Resolution appointing Election Officials for the November 5, 2024 General Election – Mayor Cano
  5. Discuss and take action on calendar for public hearing and adoption of FY2024-25 Town of Clint Budget and Tax Rate; set dates in August 2024 for Budget Workshop and introduction of Tax Levy Ordinance; in September 2024 for Public Hearing on Budget and adoption of Budget and adoption of Budget; in September 2024 for Public Hearing on Tax Rate and second reading and approval of Ordinance to Levy Taxes – Mayor Cano
  6. Discuss and take action on replacing Inspector Tomas Rodriguez – Mayor Pro Tem Ramon Saenz
  7. Discuss and take action on adding Mayor Pro Tem Ramon Saenz as check signer on all Weststar Bank Accounts – Mayor Cano
