Council will consider and take action on the following:
OLD BUSINESS: ITEMS TABLED FROM PREVIOUS MEETING: NONE
- Discuss and take action to approve an Ordinance of the Town of Clint, Texas repealing Ordinance No. 28 in its entirety; adopting regulations regarding animal control in the Town of Clint; adopting regulations regarding the standard of care of animals ;adopting regulations prohibiting animal abandonment; adopting regulations regarding registration, vaccination, and microchipping of animals; adopting regulations regarding a trap-neuter-return (TNR) protocol for cats; adopting regulations prohibiting animals running at large; adopting regulations regarding collar and tag requirements; adopting regulations regarding impoundment and fees; adopting regulations regarding quarantine; adopting regulations creating a misdemeanor offense; adopting regulations regarding enforcement authority; and providing for the following; findings of fact, adoption and enactment, repealer, severability, proper notice and meeting, publication and effective date – Mayor Cano
NEW BUSINESS: The Town Council will discuss and take action on the following:
- Introduction: of new Senior Policy Advisor Oscar Silva – County Commissioner Iliana Holguin. Presentation: El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Borderplex Safe Mobility Plan. Goals of the plan: 1. Reduce crashes and fatalities that occur on our transportation system; 2. Use data and stake holder input to identify strategies and priorities to address safety challenge. 3. Plan for funding needs to implement projects – Senior Policy Advisor Oscar Silva
- Presentation and Discussion on work being done to certify and equip the maintenance staff to provide Vector Control services for the Town of Clint – Mayor Cano & Mayor Pro Tem Raymond Saenz
- Discuss and take action approving a one-time payment of $500.00 for Town of Clint Maintenance staff, Jerry Ayala and Juan Flores, for successful completion of training and obtaining the AG noncommercial political subdivision (NCPS) applicator License – Mayor Cano
- Discuss and take action on approving the purchase of 2 Dell OptiPlex computers and 1 Dell Monitor for a total of $2,120.50 to replace town clerk computer and provide a station for accountant and other town staff. Funds are available in account #5509 – Capital Outlay Town Hall. Pricing obtained using Texas Department of Information Resources (TX DIR) Cooperative agreement TX DIR-TSO-3763 – Mayor Cano
- Discuss and take action on approving purchase of 6 Dell OptiPlex computers and 6 Dell Monitors to replace all Police computer workstations for a total of $6,965.22. Funds are available in account #5931 – Capital Outlay PD. Pricing obtained using Texas Department of Information Resources (TX DIR) Cooperative agreement TX DIR-TSO-3763 – Mayor Cano
- Discuss and take action on approving purchase of 6 Hyken Ergonomic Mesh Swivel desk chairs for each police workstation at a cost of $838.74. Funds are available in account #5931 – Capital Outlay PD. Pricing obtained using Sourcewell Cooperative agreement 070924-SCC for Staples Business Advantage – Mayor Cano
- Discuss and take action on approving purchase and installation of a 12 8MP security camera system from El Paso Security Cameras & Systems for a total of $4,475.00 for new Police Department building located at 125 Brown Street. Funds are available in account #5931 – Capital Outlay PD – Mayor Cano & Chief Fernandez
